I was born in Big Timber and grew up on my parents' cattle and sheep ranch. In 1998, I graduated Montana State University (Go Cats!) with a B.S. in Animal Science. I've held various jobs over my career, including livestock feed/health sales, controller for a web development company, owner of a log home company, marketing coordinator for the American Simmental Association, and personal assistant. I can never get too far away from ranching and took over the family ranch for 5 years before it was sold in 2017.
I started teaching at SGCHS in 2016 and I love this job. My students make every day so much fun and meaningful, AND I still get to talk about cows all day!
When I'm not teaching or FFAing I am hanging out with my husband, a.k.a Lunce, and our three super kids, Cole, Jaylea and Dex.
