This class will focus on the five themes of geography: location, place, regions, movement, and human-environment interaction. The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with the physical and cultural characteristics of the regions and countries of the world. The use of current events to bring perspective to our study will be a part of the course.
WORLD GEOGRAPHY I – Offered in the fall, this class will focus on the regions of US/Canada, Europe & Russia, China, East Asia, Antarctica, Australia, and Oceania.
WORLD GEOGRAPHY II – Offered in the spring, this class will focus on the regions of Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, India, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
No prerequisites class required unless stated in the course description.
